Sales Account Executive:

Requirements:
 

SMP Strategies, home of Elite Training Systems, is a rapidly expanding Professional Sales Training, Coaching and Consulting company.  We specialize in Business to Business, Corporate Sales Education.  We currently service accounts primarily in the G.T.A. and Southwestern Ontario.  We require self directed, mature individuals to develop new clients and maintain existing accounts with in our target market areas.  Suitable candidates, must have their own vehicle, a valid drivers license (with a clean driving record) and the ability to travel.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic self starter, with an excellent work ethic and a passion for continuous learning!  You are well organized, know how to effectively manage your time, have a creative mind and outstanding people skills.  Your desire is to work in an encouraging environment that offers you the opportunity to maximize your potential and earn an above average income.  You have a strong command of the English language (both written and verbal) and the willingness to be part of a team.

 

Expectation:
 

Responsibilities for this position, will include prospecting for new business opportunities by phone and face-to-face.  Scheduling of appointments, qualifying business opportunities and presenting our services to prospective clients.  Preparation of proposals.  Maintaining and updating of customer account records.  Consistent contact with our corporate office and communicating your sales activities and business forecasting on a weekly basis.  In addition, you will be required to develop our existing client base through a combination of appointments and telephone solicitation.

 

Experience:
 

Prior sales experience in the Training and Consulting industry (sales or other) is a definite asset.  Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs and Contact Management and/or C.R.M. software is essential.  Although experience is preferred, SMP Strategies is willing to train the right candidate.  Any formal sales training through a recognized organization also considered an asset.

G.T.A. East, G.T.A. West, G.T.A. Central, G.T.A. North, plus Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton & Niagara

 

Compensation Plan:
 

Base salary, commissions and expense allowance, to be discussed with suitable candidate.

Research & Program Development Officer:

 

The incumbent will be a detailed-oriented, competent business professional leading the development of research and programs for educational workshops. He/she will facilitate and participate in the creation, revision, and maintenance of training programs, in line with the company's mission to guarantee the most current techniques, tips, and training guidelines.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Facilitate several workshops across Canada and the United States.
  • Support the development of new programs based on market trends and business needs.
  • Prepare educational materials.
  • Develop marketing ideas to better promote training programs with an ability to think "outside of the box".
  • Plan and carry out direct marketing activities in accordance with established business plans and training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong facilitation or public speaking experience.
  • Strong written and oral skills in English (French an asset).
  • Team player with dynamic interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, follow-up and multi-task skills.
  • Knowledge of Ms Office.
